Dark hooves splashed in the shallow parts of the lake, fine defined legs lifting up in a springing motion in and out of the warm liquid. The splashed water touched her dark coat and tassels of mane, her black tail dragging in the warm water below. High stepping trot moved through the water’s edge easily splashing up the crystal like beads and dripping from her black coat. Long mane and tail flowed along with the young mare, settling once the mare stopped. Her head held high Indigo stood her long forelock covering over her elegant face. The mare was as dark as a moonless night, her deep purple eyes giving her her name. Staring out into the distance around the lake the mare’s ears flickered around.
The lone mare had wandered by herself for some time. She didn’t look beaten or unkept, as her body was as simple elegance, finely defined. Her black coat was rather clean, though dripping with water she had probably rid herself of most of the fine dust with the dripping water. In the shallow waters the mare dropped down rolling around in the warm clear liquid. Making sure any bits of dirt were off of her dark coat the mare stood, shaking off her coat once before stepping out of the water onto the bank. Tossing her head to have her long mane settle again in its proper place.
Ears flickering around she could hear hooves in the distance. Lifting her head up and locking her ears on the sound. Indi wasn’t the running type so she simply stood at the lakes edge. Letting the sun warm her damp dark coat, paying little mind to the dripping water from her shedding coat. It was clear the mare looked better on a slick summer coat, but the long winter hair was still there, shedding out slightly. Winter had its tolls, but either way the mare held the deep beauty of her Spanish breeding.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,true][bg=0a2c22]he looks like a cool drink of water but he's candy coated misery With the heat of the day came the promise of an encounter as a rather athletic looking stallion walked through the grass surrounding the lake. The stalks parted grudgingly as his slender legs forced their way through, his sporty head held high in a way that suggested he didn't care what things - inanimate or living - felt of his passing through. His ears were off to the sides, spinning occasionally when an interesting sound breached the still of the day, though his multi-colored blue and brown eyes never veered from directly ahead. It was almost as though, while his body sensed the things around him, he didn't comprehend that things other than his target of desire existed. His mind was one track right now, with a desire to get to the heated water that drove instinct completely out of focus. His hide would twitch when a fly landed on it, but he wasn't completely conscious of the action. It just... happened. His eyes, when one was to look more closely at them, didn't have the glossy coat of life; instead, they were dull and unfocused, something that was sure to send shivers up the spine of those who observed his passing. The sound of his hooves hitting the grass was muffled and hollow, his tail cutting through the air was a bit louder still, but it was all white noise to the stud. Just beyond the tall grass before him was the sparkling surface of the water that entranced and called to him so; just along the shore was the thing that had called to him, causing him to yearn and desire the living entity who stood there... though not in a way a stallion usually wants a mare. His eyes traced the lines of her Spanish body greedily, feasting on the contours, the planes, the curves. He was taking it all in like a mother observes her newborn child; laying out the land, memorizing every detail so that he could call her forth to his deranged dreams; dreams that screamed for anarchy, chaos, pain, and danger. Dreams that others had, but refused to speak about, for society would deem them dangerous and insane before dragging them away, locking them up to throw away the key forever. The stallion desired domination and power, but above all else, he had an unnatural desire for gore that would churn even a predators stomach. Fortunately for the world, this dark desire could never be fulfilled... not entirely, anyways, for there was another side of the brute; a careless and giddy side, one that was paranoid and loved life at the same time. It imagined monsters and friends alike, and believed the living and the dead to be opposite of what they really were. This was the dominant side of the stallion; this darker, crueler side was only allowed to come out and play on occasion, leaving the other side completely bewildered when it awoke and had no recollection of what had happened. That's the thing with split personalities though. How can you punish one side when the other - the one that's most often in control - is not even aware that it has committed such treason against life? A crooked smile slipped the lips of the stallion then. You can't. His dappled steel grey form stopped a few feet from the mare, his face - split completely down the middle by a blaze so that it was half black, half grey - dipped in feigned respect for the more fragile gender. Salutations, miss. I hope you will pardon me if I am interrupting, I simply could not resist the company of such a fair being. Might I request of you your name? His voice, deep with the masculine bravado, broke the silence between the Spanish beauty and the sports horse. Mine is Raisur. Let the games begin...

The sound started to near the mare as a quiet thunder on the ground. Lowering her black lips to the ground, dark velvet lips moving over the grass coming from the soil. Taking a few strands of the coming vegetation the mare rose her head listening to the approaching horse as she chewed quietly. As the grey stallion approached she eyed him up quickly. He was slightly larger than she, a bit stocky, though she could easily tell she had a bit more width in the chest and hindquarters than he. His face is what caught her eye, the mare’s only real stunning feature was the purple iris around her black pupil. They popped out from her black coat, the only thing stopping her from nearly perfecting blending into the night. Though that was not the time of day, she was out clear as day in the sunshine.
”Hi there,” The mare spoke in a smooth tone, quiet but confident. ”I go by Indigo, Indi is more than acceptable.” Her tone was slightly monotone; though soothing as ever. Clearly her muse to attract those that could do her bidding. The sweet smooth vocals were most of what she had. ”Pleasure to meet you Raisur. Feel free to this land, as it is free. I was simply enjoying a little swim to rid myself of some dirt and dust, wishing for my winter coat to rid me of its horrors.” The sly mare added smoothly, letting her vocals become sweetened with a bit of life. It seemed to help to sound like a bit of a damsel, giving the impression she wasn’t the rude manipulative mare she really could be.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,true][bg=0a2c22]your pride is black and blue tonight but your womb is full of more than his delight The beautiful fit into the story perfectly; they were trophies he could be proud to call his conquests. When he looked back at the story he had written about himself, they were his favorite things to recall. The midnight beauty would be the perfect addition to the expanding editions. Everything should go perfectly. She would look up when he got there, she would swoon at the sight of him; oh, what a handsome and powerful stag he was, the things he could bestow upon her, the dreams he could fulfill! The story would go on; she would try to win over his affection, he would pretend to follow along, but in the end, he would just be using her for his own selfish needs... A toy of any variety he so desired; a lady first, a corpse second. He would decide to end her life or not... and the only way she could save herself from his selfishly bloody dreams was to prove her worth... or wait until the other side, the other persona, took over, at which point he would flee like a scared rabbit. The stallion rolled his eyes at the thought, despising this side of him that he could not control. It never occurred to him that this story could go any other way; he hadn't yet met a lady who behaved any differently than his stereotype. The eyes of the murderer locked onto the eyes of the fae, noting the purple iris that was so different from any other eyes that he had seen. It captivated his interest, enough to keep him playing nice. "Believe me, Indi, the pleasure is all mine." His foreleg extended, lowering his body into a deep, sweeping bow while his nose tucked beneath his chest so that it almost touched the ground. When he rose again, there was a seductive smile upon those lips of his. "I appreciate your saying so. Even though these lands are free, your company is not. If it were, I might not be so inclined to ask of you to tolerate my presence." His eyes sparkled dangerously as he took a step forward, scrutinizing her coat due to the comment she had made about it's horror. "While a winter coat is not always the most attractive of features, it does do wonders when it starts to disappear... and reveals the beautiful gem hiding beneath. I suspect that you, Indigo, are such a gem. Otherwise, you would not have such breath taking eyes and standing within your presence would not cause my stomach to flutter so."

Black mare continued to stand tall as the stallion bowed down before her. She wasn’t about to change her pose just because this stud was on some kind of crazy. It’s not like she had ever been bowed to or anything this grey stud was doing. It was odd, but she passed it off as this stallion being completely bonkers. He was an odd one for sure, probably a slave in his own means out looking for some fun. ”You’re right studly, my company does come with a fee.” Her voice snorted as her tone changed a bit. This horse was beyond bonkers, now she had to believe there was actually something wrong with him.
Violet eyes eyed him carefully as he stepped forward, though the dark mare didn’t make a move in any direction, simply standing in the same rather dominant pose she had this entire time. ”Gem hey?” He words littered with a chuckle as she listened to him ramble a bit. ”Honey, I think you need to stop whatever poison vegetation you are eating, it is truly starting to come to your head.” The mare couldn’t help but laugh. What was wrong with this horse? He was an interesting fellow that was for sure, she really wasn’t sure what to do with it. Though even in her voice the tone had changed from soft and smooth to a more bitter tone filled with her laughter. She really thought this horse was crazy.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,true][bg=0a2c22]I'll let you deep inside the border line as I close my eyes to this wicked mind An invisible eyebrow raised at the change of her tone, his eyes narrowing a bit as he adjusted to the changing playing field. "Something wrong with a male daring to compliment a female? I thought chivalry was something everyone wished hadn't died." His voice had taken on a bit of a poisonous note, his nostrils wrinkling into a slight sneer as the frown spread across his muzzle. This wasn't right, she was ruining his game. Ruining his fun. How was he supposed to enjoy his time out of the black asylum of the mind when his puppets didn't dance to the tune he set? Ah well, his game was so easily adjustable. What would have been pleasant gore could turn into horrid macabre in an instant, though he chose to listen instead of react... for now. "I don't get my kicks from the foliage, honey. I get it from a much more socially unacceptable source, if you catch my drift. If you had any sense of survival, you wouldn't be so quick to make silly assumptions. It's quite childish, I'm afraid." His own voice was cruel with laughter now, his head raising so that he could gaze down his nose at her. He took a step back, then another to the side, scrutinizing her as he proceeded to move in a circle around her body. The romantic ways he could scan her body were gone now, everything about him just screamed predator. Spanish legs were so much fun, they were so slim and slender, sleek and sexy... and so easily broken. The body of a Spaniard was even more fun; they were always so full and easily balanced, their muscle nicely developed and their frame was near flawless. Oh yes, he had a thing for the Spanish beauties that ran much more than skin deep. As he circled about her rump, he nipped out at the base of her tail, fully expecting her to either strike out or refuse to react. He stopped once more in front of her, staring down straight into her eyes with that power that masculinity bestows upon it's lucky members. "Are you going to change your tone, or would you rather ruin this chance to get laid and have it end with murder? Because either way, I assure you, I will enjoy this day... Indigo."

Violet eyes watched the grey stallion a moment still. Listening to his voice change as well. With a chuckle, hinting a girly giggle in it she spoke. ”Well there, we all know that chivalry is beyond dead.” She smiled. His temper was flaring at it was amusing to her. Her head raising a bit, yet her body not moving as he continued to speak about how she was childish. Her voice came back to a more girly tone, full of a giggling laugh. ”Oh childish is just the way to go.” This new tone in his voice was amusing to her and the way he walked around her, sizing her up made her chuckle even more.
Tossing her head she let her dripping mane settle back on her neck. Feeling the nip at her rear she stood still. There was no point in fighting back to him, not figuring he would do much even if he did she would fight back. Not that it was in her first interest of things to do, but the mare clearly showed no worry. ”Oh darling. You can’t just play nice can you? I have no interest in getting laid from you anyway.” Her violet eyes matched his stare, though with much less anger in hers. It was amusing she got this stallion so hyped up over a few simple words. Not being able to held herself but laugh a bit. ”You sir, are amusing none the less.” Her black lips turned a bit of a smile, watching him slightly. Sure her tone changed slightly, giving a bit of her sweetness back, but held still bits of her bitter attitude. Through the laughing it was hard, not the evil type laugh or dark in anyway, but a light airy laugh that matched nowhere near her bitter tones. This stallion was clearly a little off in the head, but it was truly amusing to her that he acted the way he did. She couldn’t help but think of where this stallion came from, what he was all about, little did she know he was a mere slave himself.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,true][bg=0a2c22]sleeping don't come very easy in a straight white vest Gone was the time for talking; something had snapped in his head, a bit like a clock. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. It screamed, time was running short; now or never. Now or never. Her words tormented him, hit a nerve deep within his mind. He felt himself being torn apart, a need, a drive, and he couldn't control it anymore. He tossed his head up, the agony clear in his multicolored eyes, but the lust showed even more. Saliva was filling his mouth, causing his jaw to open and close as he swept that sticky fluid over his lips and teeth, tried to suck it back into the depths of his being. His eyes narrowed, ears pinned. His muscles tensed, and before he could collect himself to speak another word, he stopped hearing. Stopped breathing. The inner turmoil was becoming too much, and so he had to move. Had to drive his teeth into flesh to regain the control he felt slipping so steadily from his grasp, to make her see truly what he was. A murderer, a weapon. Something to be feared. He lunged forward then, teeth fully bared as he aimed to connect teeth with her fragile neck, all intention and strength aimed to bring her down... But he stopped short. Just before her, his head raised, his knees locked so he skidded to a stop. His eyes widened to the brim, showing mad amounts of white around the iris. His ears flicked uncertainly, as reality dawned on the alternative personality. "I'msorryi'msorryi'msorry." He whispered yet screamed, alternating between the two. "Did I... did I hurt you?" He scrambled back a few steps, dropping to his hindquarters a bit like a dog. His eyes scanned her black body, the madness of the stallion clearly evident. "You're pretty in black." His voice was strangled, clearly every word was painful. Conversation didn't come easily to this side of the insane thing. This side feared everything and everyone; the other side wanted everyone and everything gone. "Black. Huh. I chased a black rabbit once." He whispered, clearly tuning into his more delusional side. His eyes scanned the surrounding vicinity, realizing he was by a lake. He jumped up then, practically slamming into the mare with his sudden desire to be as close to her as possible. "Don't let the monsters get me!" His breathing quickened, eyes tamed on the water as he tried to push his ribs into the mare's side, believing that if his other side chose her to play with, she must be safe.

The black mare stood rather calmly before the seemingly crazed stallion. Violet eyes watching as he seemed to change right before her eyes. He was evil for a bit, his body threatening but yet the mare showing little sign of backing down from her calm persona. She waited for the bite that was seemingly coming, but before she could flinch the grey stallion stopped dead. He was changed then, looking scared for a moment before practically screaming apologies to her. Her mind stopped a moment, listening to him for a moment, before he questioned her. ”Wait. What?” Her eyes blinked quickly a few times, trying to figure out what had just happened.
Holy crap this stallion was completely bonkers. She had heard of it, but hell, she’d never seen such a split horse. Her jaw dropped as he continued to speak, of her coat, then a rabbit, then the most odd thing happened. Indi was stunned, moving suddenly as he slammed beside her. ”Alright there, easy boy. Nothing is going to get you.” Her voice seemed stuttered, not really sure what was going on right now. She held her ground, matching is lean on her as not to fall over completely. ”So there hunnie, what are we scared of?” Indi stood, she didn’t know what to say about his huge change, but seemed slightly sympathetic of his new persona. Parts of her didn’t want to nudge the crazy stallion back into whatever crazy world he lived in. She didn’t need him snapping back into whatever psychotic blood thirsty horse he was on the other side, both seemed amusing, but she felt this seemed like a better state.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,true][bg=0a2c22]sanity is the playground for the unimaginative Shivers ran up and down his skin, twitching as though a million flies were landing on it. How could she answer him like that, in such a way that left him even more flabbergasted than he was before? How could she leave him wondering what had happened, why he couldn't even grasp in the slightest what she was trying to do to him. "Don't TORTURE me like that!!!" He wailed, tossing his head back like a howling wolf. "I need to know! What. Happened?!" His blue and brown eyes narrowed before closing completely, as though he were about to cry, as though he were ready to break into a million pieces. You just can't understand when a mind is like this. His insanity, when you think about it, is actually quite logical. Not knowing what you had done, not always having control over who was expressing themselves and what you did. You'd wake up after thinking you'd just gone to sleep and realize there was blood everywhere, that there were others hunting you, and you just couldn't understand why. All you'd done was go to sleep... yet you were so hated. And then the hauntings? Nothing was worse than being haunted. "How do you know? Can you see them, too?" The relief in his voice was evident. If she saw them too, he wasn't as crazy as others believed. If she saw them too... there was hope. She could lie about this, say she saw them, and he would relax. The sad thing is, the stallion, when in this state of mind, was incapable of realizing someone was lying. He thought someone was always speaking the truth, that you were incapable of anything else... simply because he doesn't lie. As she leaned back against him, he took a deep, quivering breath that calmed his nerves. For the first time, he could look out at the monsters surrounding them and not feel the fear, because she hadn't pulled away. She hadn't stranded him, refused to allow him to seek comfort. She had just accepted it... how unusual. "Them." He said quite simply, his muzzle extending toward the demons with smoking nostrils, the creatures with sharp claws. Things only he saw that haunted him, every moment of every day. This was the first time he could just stand there, watching them as they watched him... and he expected that she was watching them as well, wasn't afraid. He drew comfort from that thought.
